Necklace Nebula?

Post by Jbest » Wed Apr 28, 2021 10:25 am

I posted this link on our Facebook page & then briefly surfed the web looking for more info as I had never heard of this one.

Realizing that nothing on the ground comes even close to what the Hubble can do; Has anyone seen this one thru a scope & photographed it? I can't even find it in any of the star catalogs I use. At a mere 15,000 light years, thinking it should be visible. My catalog searches don't return anything for either PN G054.2-03.4 or IRAS 19417+1701

Observation data: J2000 epoch
Right ascension 19h 43m 59.51104s[2]
Declination +17° 09′ 00.9579″[2]
Distance 15.0 ± 3.6 kly (4.6 ± 1.1 kpc)[3] pc
Apparent diameter 0.35′[4]
Constellation Sagitta

Found a little detail but not much. It was discovered in 2005, so it might not be in most older listings.
Awesome pic from Hubble though..
Thanks for sharing it.
