Meals at the Deep South Star Gaze this year

Post by Bsimon » Wed Oct 13, 2021 4:58 pm

Ok, we will have a 4 pm evening meal available for us at the DSSG.

I just got off the phone with Carol and in lieu of an evening snack bar we will have a late afternoon (dinner) meal. I would really like to give her a somewhat accurate head count and she can use a head count to plan meals, so please let me know what afternoons you want the evening meal. On Tuesday and Wednesday where our head count will be lower the meals will likely be simpler as in sandwiches, burgers, that sort of thing. Maybe a bit more elaborate if the head count for those two days is higher than my estimate of 15 per night for meals on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday we should have, my estimate, about 24 each night for the 4 pm dinner. Those meals will be more in line with what we have had at DSSG dinners in the past. In any event please let me know if you are in for dinner. You will pay for it on site.

For those who have not registered yet and you plan to within the next week, please indicate on your registration form somewhere if you want a dinner and which nights so I can let Carol know.

If waiting until the last minute to register please reply to this post and let me know.

Other meals - we are on our own, however the main building has a coffee pot, toaster, microwave, etc. and we can use it to eat. The Country Diner is nearby and that is a great place for breakfast and it opens early. Lunch too, plus we have other options as per an earlier post I made about that.
